VINCI UK Developments is currently working in partnership with Harlow Council to deliver a forward-thinking development, creating a collaborative, progressive sci-tech community as part of the Harlow Enterprise Zone. Located within the Innovation Core, this area has a global reputation for excellence in scientific research.
Overall masterplan comprises over 600,000 sqft space for the Life Sciences, ICT Digital and Advanced Manufacturing sectors, with aspirations to provide over 2,500 jobs. The 25-acre site is the setting for a campus-style masterplan providing space for a rich (and flexible) mix of large company facilities as well as smaller incubation and ‘move on’ units, envisaged at around 18 buildings in total. Alongside the core buildings, VUKD is providing space for facilities essential in creating a collaborative community environment, with a heart-space to the park including a business hotel, retail, restaurant with a café provision, gym and a crèche. Collaborative workspace provision is being designed into the scheme to foster multi-disciplinary engagement, which offers longer-term potential for translational research space and ‘bench to bedside’ healthcare outcomes.
Currently NEXUS, ARISE and MODUS buildings have been completed at approximately 110,000sqft in total.
